Gary Gardner will go straight into the Nottingham Forest team for this weekend's clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
The 22-year old Aston Villa midfielder has agreed to spend the remainder of the season on loan with Forest and the deal will be complete on Saturday prior to the Championship fixture at the County Ground.
Gardner, who came through Villa's youth academy, has previously spent time on loan with Coventry City, Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion but will now look to further his development under Stuart Pearce with Forest who sit 11th on the tier two table.
