Aston Villa are eyeing Schalke winger Lewis Holtby.
The Germany U21 international comes from an English family and is a big Everton fan.
Holtby is off contract in June and will be free to sign a pre-contract with any Premier League club from January 1.
Villa are keen to discuss terms, though will face competition from Liverpool in the New Year.
