Aston Villa remains interested in West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott, the Daily Mirror reports.
The former Manchester City centre-half has only 12 months left on his contract with the Baggies, but an agreement is yet to be reached on a new contract.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis confirms that the talks are ongoing with the player's representatives, but the player would be allowed to leave if a substantial offer is made for his services.
"He has been talking to the club about a new contract," Pulis said.
"But at any football club if people come in and offer the money, and you think it is right and the player thinks it is right, then deals are done."
