Aston Villa are ready to deal in James Collins.

The Daily Mail says Villa are interested in signing former West Ham defender Collins.

The 35-year-old is currently a free agent after being released by the Premier League club in the summer.

Collins has reportedly been invited to train with Villa and previously played for them from 2009 to 2012.

The defender is eager to play on this season.
