Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte could be set for a move to the Premier League.
The Mail are claiming that Aston Villa are among the teams chasing after the 22-year-old.
With the Uruguay international having a £55 million buy out clause in his contract, he is within the price range of most Premier League clubs.
Ugarte is also being represented by Jorge Mendes, with Liverpool, Newcastle United and Chelsea all circling.
The source adds that Villa may have a serious chance at his signature, given they can offer him regular game time.
The Midlands club also want to reunite boss Unai Emery with Tottenham's Giovani Lo Celso.
