Aston Villa's young goalkeeper James Wright has signed a new contract to remain at the club.
The 19-year-old has been with the Midlands team since he was 16, while he has been playing for the U18s and U21s this season.
Wright even got a senior appearance this term, sitting on the bench for their clash against Everton earlier this month.
“We are delighted that James has signed a new contract," Villa academy manager Mark Harrison said in a statement.
“Since he joined us as a 16-year-old, James has been a role model in terms of his behaviours on and off the pitch.
“There is no doubt his development has flourished because of this and the hard work of the staff, in particular Mark Naylor and Michael Pearce from our goalkeeping department, with great support from Francisco Javier Garcia the first team Goalkeeping Coach.
“We look forward to seeing how James develops over the next few years."
