Aston Villa chief Monchi has shrugged off the claims made by Isco earlier this summer.
The former Sevilla midfielder accused Monchi of physically attacking him before he was released by Sevilla last season.
In response Monchi, who left Sevilla this summer for Villa, told Marca: "We each own our words and our silences. If he thought it opportune to tell that, he would have his reasons. I didn't waste a second.
"Looking back has never been a way of life for me. I look ahead and the people who know me know how I am. Explanations must be given to those who don't know you, since most people know me, there is no need to explain.
"I woke up in the morning one day and I saw that I had 60 messages and I said: 'something happened'. If he had caught me in Seville, it would still be different. But I was so immersed in the day-to-day dynamics with two open operations... with Isco I didn't lose a second."
