Aston Villa boss Unai Emery says they're fighting for a top four finish.

Villa have an 11-point lead on Manchester United in sixth and are two points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham, although Spurs have a game in hand.

Ahead of facing Brentford on Saturday, Emery said: "We are trying to increase our level and trying to feel comfortable being inside the top seven teams.

"To keep it is the most difficult and challenging thing we have now. We are going to focus on each match and on the three points we are going to face. We need to respect the opponent - it is very difficult, the Premier League.

"We have an opportunity to rise and be a contender more than we were before."
