New Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is prioritising the signing of Villarreal defender Pau Torres for the January market.

Emery helped Torres play his way into the Spain team during his time in charge of Villarreal.

And local reporter Ignazio Genuardi says he wants to now bring him to England in January.

Torres, 25, has a deal with Villarreal to 2024, which carries a €50m buyout clause.

PSG are also interested in the Spain international this season.
