VfL Wolfsburg fullback Ricardo Rodriguez has rejected a move to Chelsea.

The Daily Star says the Blues had held talks with the Wolfsburg left-back's agent.

Antonio Conte was hopeful of sealing a £21m deal.

But The Sun reports Rodriguez turned down the Premier League leaders.

Rodriguez, however, has another Premier League suitor with Arsenal keen.

It's claimed Arsene Wenger has earmarked the 24-year-old as his first-choice left-back target.

If the Gunners boss fails to land Rodriguez then he will reportedly look into the possibility of signing Valencia's Jose Gaya.
