Premier League giants Arsenal had scouts watching Real Sociedad's win over Benfica in the Champions League.

The Spanish club were at their very best, racing to a 3-0 lead in the contest in the first half.

Arsenal scouts were in attendance for the whole game, with Martin Zubimendi the main attraction.

Zubimendi was involved for the whole contest from the base of midfield, running the show for La Real.

The 24-year-old has a contract with the La Liga club with a release clause worth just under £44 million.

Such a figure would be well within the transfer spending limits for Arsenal, even in January.
