Arsenal's Wenger recalls Giggs' traumatising Man Utd goal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger suggested a goal from Ryan Giggs more than 15 years ago still haunts him.

?The Welsh legend produced a stunning solo effort in in extra-time in a FA Cup semi-final replay at Villa Park in 1999 to give United a 2-1 win over the Gunners which Wenger says still flashes in his nightmares.

?"I saw the goal again when Giggs retired (last year)," Wenger said in an interview with The Sun.

?"It won them the treble because if (Dennis) Bergkamp had scored (his penalty) it was game over.

"It was a trauma for us in a negative way and for them in a positive way. It put them on the road to glory.

?"I still can hear the shouts of that team having won (2-1). They couldn't believe it, because they were down to 10 men."

?Wenger's Arsenal take on United in the FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford on Monday night.?
