Arsenal are reluctant to bid for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans in January.
The Gunners are still understood to be interested in tempting Tielemans to the Emirates after failing to land him in the summer.
But Football.London says the North Londoners will first wait until his current contract expires.
The midfielder will become a free agent when his deal expires at the end of June unless he is sold for a cut-price fee during the upcoming January transfer window.
The Belgium international may also have the opportunity to agree a pre-contract deal with a European club from next month, putting Arsenal's plans to sign him at risk
