Arsenal not giving up hope of keeping Nketiah despite Crystal Palace, Gladbach interest

Arsenal have not given up hope of retaining Eddie Nketiah, according to reports.

The Englishman, out of contract in the summer, scored a brace in the 4-2 win over Chelsea on Wednesday.

The performance prompted manager Mikel Arteta to admit he had been unfair on Nketiah this season.

Crystal Palace and Borussia Monchengladbach are leading the race for Nketiah's signature.

However, the Daily Mail says Arsenal believe they can convince the 22-year-old to extend his stay at the Emirates.

Nketiah's biggest gripe with Arsenal is playing time and it is unclear how they will be able to change his mind given their transfer links with big name strikers.

The Gunners are reportedly interested in a number of high-profile strikers including Darwin Nunez, Alexander Isak and Jonathan David.
