Calciomercato.com says the Gunners are looking to the Argentinian international, 28, to solve their defensive problems.

And that £10.5m figure could rise if the ex-San Lorenzo and Atlas ace hits certain performance targets.

Kannemann is regarded as one of the best defenders in South America.

He has shone for Brazilian club Gremio since his arrival three years ago and played a key role in the Copa Libertadores success in 2017.
