Arsenal identify Bernd Leno as next keeper signing

Arsenal are preparing a major bid for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Sun says the Gunners are lining up a £25million summer move for Leno.

The German, 26, has been identified as Petr Cech's Emirates successor by the club's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.

And the Gunners want to get the deal sorted out as quickly as possible to head off interest from Liverpool and Napoli.

Leno, whose contract runs until 2020, has made it clear he wants a new challenge after seven years at Leverkusen.

He will go to the World Cup this summer as Germany's third- choice keeper behind Manuel Neuer and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

And he believes a big-money move to a high- profile club will improve his chances of adding to his six international caps.
