Arsenal great Patrick Vieira is being lined up for a return to English football.

Sacked by Nice midway through this season, Vieira is now being linked with Roy Hodgson's job at Crystal Palace.

Hodgson comes off contract in June and there's doubts about whether the two parties plan to continue next season.

The Athletic reports Palace are considering candidates to succeed Hodgson and Vieira features high on their shortlist.

The Frenchman, before his time with Nice, was also coach of New York City FC in the USA.
