Arsenal defender Chambers clears up claims of mascot snub

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has clarified an online video clip of the players ignoring a matchday mascot.

Footage on Norwich 's Instagram account captured Gunners stars arriving before Sunday's 2-2 draw at Carrow Road.

In the clip, key Arsenal players made their way to the away dressing room, while one young mascot waited quietly in the corridor.

None of the arriving players made an effort to speak or look at the youngster as they headed straight for the away changing facilities.

But Chambers has sought to give context to the clip, taking to Twitter to show that the 'Young Gunner' in question was actually invited into the dressing room before Sunday's clash.

"The cameras sometimes only show one side of the story," he wrote, accompanied by four photos of mascot Billy with a host of Arsenal stars.

It's always great to meet our Junior Gunners mascot in the dressing room before every match.

"We hope Billy had a great day at Norwich on Sunday and it was a pleasure to meet him."

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is with the mascot in one of the photos, replied to Chambers' tweet, saying: "Thanks Calum. I wanted to sleep but i saw these bull***** then wanted to reply but you quicker than me so I go back to sleep a Bit."
