Arsenal contract chief Huss Fahmy now leaving

Arsenal contract negotiator Huss Fahmy is leaving the club.

The London Evening Standard says Arsenal's director of football operations Fahmy is the latest high-profile executive to leave the club.

Fahmy will officially leave Arsenal in one month's time, once he has served his notice period, and it brings an end to his three-year spell at the club.

Fahmy is understood to have chosen to depart Arsenal and his departure is not a direct cause of the club's streamlining process due to the financial implications of Covid-19.

Within the new structure at Arsenal, Fahmy was due to have less power and he has consequently decided to move on.

Sources at Arsenal insist he leaves on amicable terms with the club and he will be replaced, although that person will not have the same power as Fahmy and the Gunners' in-house legal team will fill the void with regard to contract negotiations.
