Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal is battling a hamstring injury.
Arsenal have confirmed Nacho Monreal missed Monday night's win against Leicester due to a hamstring problem.
The defender has been a regular for the Gunners this season but was a surprise omission from the team sheet.
Monreal trained with his teammates in the build up to the game following the two-week international break.
Arsenal confirmed: "Nacho Monreal has a tight hamstring and has been withdrawn from tonight's squad as a precaution."
Stephan Lichtsteiner replaced Monreal at the back alongside Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding.
Monreal faces a race against time to be fit for the Europa League trip to Portugal on Thursday when they take on Sporting Club as they look to extend their winning streak.
