Arsenal academy chief Per Mertesacker admits they have a good chance of signing Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan.
The midfielder is coming off contract and is in talks with Barcelona and the Gunners.
Mertesacker was working on City's Champions League final triumph over Inter Milan for ZDF.
He said of the speculation: “I think the clubs are queuing. Because [Mikel] Arteta knows him and we probably haven't broken off contact, we're in a good position.
“I think he'll let it all sink in first and then choose from one of the four clubs."
