Arsenal boss Wenger sees Ipswich fullback Mings as centre-half signing

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sees Ipswich Town fullback Tyrone Mings as a long-term centre-half.

The Sunday Telegraph says Arsene Wenger is set to complete an £8million move for Ipswich left-back Mings when the transfer window opens in January.

The 21-year-old has stood out for the Tractor Boys so far this season and his performances have alerted several Premier League clubs.

But it is the Gunners who lead the race, and Wenger could look to convert the 6ft 3in defender to a centre-back when he arrives at the Emirates.
