Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hinted a new contract is planned for Mohamed Elneny.

Arteta has been discussing whether Arsenal will offer Mohamed Elneny a new contract.

The midfielder is set to become a free agent this summer and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Gunners boss said: "Our way of treating people, living together and what we expect from people is to give the maximum.

"And when things are the other way around and things become difficult, I think the club has to behave in the right way."
