Arsenal ace Gabriel Jesus: Guardiola treatment forced me to leave Man City

Arsenal ace Gabriel Jesus admits falling out with manager Pep Guardiola saw him leave Manchester City a year ago.

Speaking on the Denilson Show, Gabriel Jesus explained why he chose to depart.

"There was a Champions League match against PSG where he (Guardiola) put (Oleks) Zinchenko in as a false 9. Absolutely crazy. The day before, he didn't even use him for training. There he put me as a striker," the Brazilian recalled.

"Two hours before the match there was a team talk, team dinner, rest time for 30 minutes and then the match. He told us the team and I didn't even eat. I went straight down to the room, crying and called my mother saying 'I want to leave'.

"I didn't even warm up. I felt bad. Five minutes after Mbappé scored to make it 1-0, Guardiola grabbed me and put me in, then I made an assist, scored and we made it 2-1. In the next match against Leipzig I did not play.

"There was a lot of that with him, and it wasn't easy. It's really hard. It was there that I decided that I didn't want to stay any longer and I decided to leave the club."
