Former Barcelona striker Sonny Anderson says Louis van Gaal didn't teach anything to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
Van Gaal coached both Anderson and Guardiola at Barca.
But Anderson told Goal: "I think Guardiola has not learned anything from Van Gaal.
"As a player Pep already had everything to grow into the great trainer he is now. I think it was Van Gaal who learned from Pep to play the game of Barcelona. Van Gaal loved the long passes and Guardiola preferred short passes. From these discussions the style emerged that we have developed further in those years.
"Van Gaal gave certain instructions and on the pitch it was Pep who told the team how to execute it. It was Guardiola who taught Van Gaal how the team had to play."
