Manchester City are being linked with a surprising move for 17-year-old defender Efe Sarikaya.

The Turkish starlet is being linked to the Citizens by his own club's technical director.

Tuna Uzumcu, who is a director at Turkish club Altay, claims City have bid for Sarikaya.

In an interview with Radyospor, Uzumcu stated the following: "Official transfer offers from Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla clubs came for Efe Sarıkaya.

"However, our player is open to development and we have not accepted the offers at this stage."
