Liverpool hero John Aldridge admits he's a big fan of Brighton's Irish superkid Evan Ferguson.

Aldridge feels the teen has the world at his feet.

The former Republic of Ireland World Cup striker told the Sunday World: "I like him a lot and hopefully he can be a massive player for Ireland over the next few years.

“I like his movement his finishing and his strength. There is a lot to admire, but he is only young. He needs to get better and work on different aspects of his game.

"He can't be satisfied with where he is at the moment because he can only get better if he works at his game. He has got all the ability to get far in the game.

"He is composed when he has to be, finds the corners, good in the air and we just need to get a few more players around him in the Republic of Ireland team."
