Al-Ittihad signing Luiz Felipe has left the door open to returning to Real Betis.

Betis sold Felipe to Al-Ittihad on Thursday for €25m.

In a farewell post, Felipe stated: "Today I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have meant to me during my stay at Betis.

"From the day I arrived I was received with open arms and a love that I will never forget. Their unwavering support and passion for the club have left an indelible mark on my heart.

"Despite having had the honour of wearing the green and white shirt for only one season, I feel deeply united to the club and this beautiful city. I want to thank the board for having trusted me and for giving me the opportunity to represent Betis.

"Although my path takes me to new challenges and adventures, I want you to know that this is not a final goodbye. Who knows, at some point in the future, our paths could cross again. In the meantime, I will carry with me the memories and affection we shared. Thank you for everything you have done for me and for Betis."
