The Saudi giants hope to convince Aston Villa to release the 30-year-old on loan with an option to buy.

It has been reported that Villa boss Unai Emery prefers Alex Moreno at left-back, but Digne has been playing regularly as the Spaniard has had injury problems.

Digne has continued to play even now that Moreno is fit. It is therefore unclear whether Villa would be ready to release the Frenchman.
