Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez is attracted by the idea of playing in the Premier League this coming season.

The centre-back, who can also play left-back and central midfield, is wanted by Manchester United and Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have put in a bid for Martinez that goes up to £38 million.

Their offer, however, is still short of what Ajax are seeking for the versatile Maritnez.

Man United are also thought to have interest in the player, but they have other priorities in the transfer market at present.

Arsenal are also continuing talks with Leeds United regarding the signing of Raphinha.
