Ajax chief Marc Overmars has warned Barcelona over their plans for Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt.

Ajax and the in-demand pair will face Real Madrid in the Last 16.

After the draw, Overmars told Spanish reporters: "Everyone in Europe is watching them and Barça must do things correctly.

"I don't need to tell them good things about Barça, they already know."

Before his comments Overmars was seen hugging Barça's UEFA representative, Amador Bernabeu. Overmars also had a long conversation with Manchester City's director of football, Txiki Begiristain, who are also interested in Ajax's superstars.
