AGF's sports director Stig Inge Bjørnebye says Jack Wilshere has surpassed expectations.
The former Arsenal midfielder joined AGF in February to the end of the season.
Bjornebye said: "It's my job to get players, so I was very happy. He contributes a lot to the club. Not only his qualities on the pitch, but also as an adult. He is top professional, and has played football at a fantastic level.
"That we in AGF can introduce a player of that quality to our team is absolutely phenomenal. Wilshere wants to contribute, and he is good at coaching the others.
"I think everyone knows that he has had challenges with injuries, but we were lucky that we had good contacts who told us that Jack wanted to go to AGF."
