Agent says Sabitzer hasn't joined Man Utd to sit on bench

The agent of Marcel Sabitzer says he hasn't joined Manchester United to sit on the bench.

The Bayern Munich midfielder completed a loan move to the Red Devils late on transfer deadline day to cover for Christian Eriksen's three-month injury absence.

Sabitzer, 28, has been something of a bit-part player at Bayern this season and arrives at United determined to earn a regular spot in the line-up, as comments from agent Roger Wittmann reveal.

“[Sabitzer] is the most unpleasant person to be around when he's not playing," he told Sky Deutschland.

“He hates it when he loses. That's the bottom line. Character-wise, the kid is a killer.

“That's what players who always want to win look like."

Ten Hag will not have Sabitzer available for his debut on Wednesday night against Nottingham Forest but his visa should be completed in time for the weekend clash against Crystal Palace.
