RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol is not set to sign for Chelsea any time soon.

That is the opinion of the player's agent, Marjan Sisic, who spoke about the matter recently.

Gvardiol was linked to the Blues in the summer, with some suggestions that they may agree to a transfer for Gvardiol to join the club in the summer of 2023.

The defender is currently at the World Cup with his country Croatia.

Gvardiol and his teammates have qualified for the last eight of the tournament, where they will take on Brazil.

Sisic has explained his situation at club level to Sky Germany, saying: "We are not in a hurry and I can make clear that there are no pre-agreements with any clubs."
