Agent Pastorello on Hojlund: Man Utd are buying a project

Agent Federico Pastorello has warned Manchester United not to expect an instant impact from Rasmus Hojlund.

The Atalanta striker is in England for his medical with United ahead of completing a €85m move.

Pastorello told Corriere dello Sport: "The truth is that between golden TV rights, stadium receipts and profitable tours, today the number of clubs that have dramatically increased their revenues and which can therefore afford wild shopping have multiplied.

"Before they were four or five in all of Europe. Today there are many more. Unlike Serie A where money is scarce and where we have to make do with ideas, there are many rich people abroad. With the consequence that on a global market level, demand far exceeds supply, especially for certain specific roles, such as that of the central striker."

Pastorello believes that Hojlund was sold at a price higher than his value: "When Lukaku moved from Inter to Chelsea for 115 million, he had scored 64 goals in two seasons and was 28 years old, so he was in full football maturity. Hojlund, on the other hand, is a twenty-year-old boy who still has everything to prove. If you take him, you don't take a centre-forward, but a centre-forward project.

"And, mind you, with a salary much lower than that of a big name."
