The agent of Sunderland attacker Jack Clarke admits a move to Lazio was on in January.

Ian Harte confirmed the Serie A approach when speaking on the No Tippy Tappy podcast.

Harte said: "There were a couple of offers that came from Lazio, but Sunderland didn't feel like selling the player in the January window.

"The player obviously has to focus on what he is doing at the moment, which is playing fantastically well, scoring goals and making assists.

"But hopefully we'll see Clarke change teams this summer. Where he might go we don't know yet, but he's in a good place."
