The agent of Russia coach Guus Hiddink has denied talks with Juventus.

It was mooted that new Juve chief Roberto Bettega had been in touch with the former Chelsea manager about replacing Ciro Ferrara.

But Cees Van Niewenhuizen said: "Neither I nor Guus Hiddink have received any official offer from Juventus, or a formal call from representatives of the Bianconeri club.

"Guus at this time is in Kenya and the only ones with whom he is dealing with are the African lions!

"As for me, I'm spending Christmas in the South of France and shop only with my wife. I want to reiterate that we are now concerned only with the opinion of the President of the Russian Football Union.

"If his plans are different from ours, then we will consider another job. But until then there will be no other negotiations."
