Nikola Zigic's agent has claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing the striker.
The towering Serbian forward is a free agent after leaving Birmingham City earlier this summer and according to his representative Milan Calasan could be on his way to the Emirates Stadium.
"(Arsene) Wenger called me in the afternoon on Tuesday and underlined his desire to sign Nikola Zigic," he was quoted as telling Sport.
"He was offering a contract until the end of the year, with an option to extend until the end of 2015. We'll see - it's up to Nikola to decide.
"I know that Arsenal are in a hurry, but Nikola also has offers from Turkey and Switzerland."
Former Valencia striker Zigic scored 36 goals in 148 appearances for Birmingham during his four-year spell at St Andrew's.
