Club America winger Brian Rodriguez has seen a move to Fiorentina fall through.

Rodriguez's agent admits the deal is now off.

“Going to Fiorentina would not have changed Brian's life on an economic level, but it certainly would've been better for his career," Edgardo Lasalvia told Sport 890.

“That is no longer an option and now Brian is focused on winning the next games with Club America."

Lasalvia had stated only days previously: “Brian Rodriguez is I hope packing his bags right now. Fiorentina are offering him a four-year contract with an option for a fifth, with America keeping a percentage of the sell-on fee."
