AC Milan striker Leao: The one coach I didn't get along with...

AC Milan striker Rafael Leao admits he didn't get along with former coach Marco Giampaolo.

Leao says Giampaolo was the one coach he fell out with.

In his new book, 'Smile', he wrote: "In my career at Milan, I had two coaches, or maybe just one. Between me and Mr. Giampaolo there was practically no type of relationship, we didn't speak to each other, I had only recently been in Milan and for a footballer like me, at nineteen, settling in was the first challenge to face.

"Initially I was looking for a family lexicon in the locker room, so André Silva, the only Portuguese in the team, helped me a bit with the language, but after a month he was sold so I started to bond with other new players like Ismael Bennacer, purchased three days after me and who I still call brother today."

Leao then returned to the relationship with Giampaolo: "Right from the start I had goals, but it wasn't easy, the coach hadn't understood how to insert me on the pitch and I had a cold relationship with him; formal greetings at training and nothing else."
