AC Milan prepared to meet clause for Chelsea defender Tomori

Chelsea regret allowing Fikayo Tomori to move to AC Milan in January, it has been revealed.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Chelsea regret letting Tomori join AC Milan.

The centre-back has flourished at the San Siro, helping them challenge the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan for the Scudetto. And he's unlikely to return to Stamford Bridge because of a clause in his contract.

Chelsea saw Tomori blow hot and cold under Frank Lampard last season.

And it was the 42-year-old who decided to cut the young defender loose, loaning him to AC Milan.

Tomori moved to the San Siro on loan and the Serie A giants have an option to buy for a fee in the region of £25-28m.

The Italian giants are expected to pay that in full at the end of the campaign, with Tomori becoming a vital figure at the club throughout his spell there.
