AC Milan may promote from within in their search for a new director of football.

Milan chiefs have kept the door open to Palermo sports director Sean Sogliano, though as yet nothing has been settled between the two parties.

Instead, Milan are discussing promoting youth director Mauro Bianchessi to the senior role.

Bianchessi would work alongside GM Adriano Galliani on football matters.
