AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has praised the players and fans after their Champions League run ended at the semifinal stage.

A 1-0 defeat last night to Inter Milan saw Milan eliminated 3-0 on aggregate.

Cardinale said, “A heartfelt thanks to our team, which can be said to be proud to have arrived to play among the best four in Europe in this tournament, as well as a heartfelt thanks goes to our loyal and supportive Milan fans who never give up on representing the Rossoneri colors with pride.
