AC Milan coach Pioli proud to face Monza in Trofeo Berlusconi

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is delighted to be facing AC Monza in the Trofeo Berlusconi.

The match has been revived after the passing of former Milan and Monza owner Silvio Berlusconi.

Pioli said: "The director Adriano (Galliani, Monza) called me when we were on holiday and when he offered me the Trofeo Berlusconi I replied that we would be honored to take part in this tournament.

"I hope to be able to greet Berlusconi's family and collaborators as well and to play the match as well as possible because Berlusconi is in any case such a complete and important part of Milan's history.

"We have organised four friendlies this week because we need playing time and to get all the players to play, because in two weeks we will be in the league. We face a team that has always played good football, so it will be a good test."
