AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi has again jumped to the defence of Fernando Torres.

The striker is being linked with a move away.

Inzaghi said: "Today is the first time he's trained. He had a fever. I hope I can take him to Rome.

"Alex may also be able to take a place on the bench, he has 20-30 minutes in him.

"As for [Ignazio] Abate and [Mattia] De Sciglio we'll welcome them back in Dubai [for the winter training camp]."
