AC Milan boss Inzaghi enters Hellas Verona game with axe hanging over him

AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi insists he's calm going into their clash with Hellas Verona.

Defeat could mean the sack for Inzaghi.

"Winning tomorrow would be a big step forward," he said. "We need less talk, more action.

"The meetings with [joint-CEO Adriano] Galliani were constructive, for the good of Milan. Each of us was spurred on to work even harder, because we want the best for Milan.

"That's a beautiful thing. I have no problems.

"I'm encouraged to keep alive the faith that the club had in me this summer. The team are behind me and want to do well.

"When you're the Milan Coach you come under fire from all angles, every day. I want the team to do well and not be affected.

"The only thing that is not in doubt is commitment, and it's right to point that out. We can improve, and we have a good chance to do that tomorrow.

"I don't care what you [the media] say about me. I'm sure of my philosophy, and the way I work, so I'm calm."
