Aberdeen expect to lose top prospect Jack Grimmer to Fulham.
The Scottish Sun says Fulham are poised to strike a pre-contract agreement with the 17-year-old, who is the Dons' youngest ever first-team player.
Scotland youth ace Grimmer - who played against Rangers in April 2010 aged just 16 years, two months and 13 days - is out of contract in the summer.
And the Dons, who have worked tirelessly bringing him through their youth development set-up, are bracing themselves for the call to confirm the youngster will be at Craven Cottage next season.
They could still expect a fee from the Londoners in the region of £250,000 for their role in Grimmer's development.
But it would be cold comfort for Dons, who have been coaching the hometown kid since he was 12.
