Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has admitted that neither the German club nor Manchester United benefitted from Adnan Januzaj's brief loan spell in the Bundesliga.
Januzaj returned to Old Trafford after making just 12 appearances for Dortmund during his five-month stay at the club.
The 20-year-old Belgian midfielder was originally meant to spend the entirety of the season in Germany but is back in Manchester after a failed stint at the Westfalenstadion where his mentality was questioned by Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel.
"It was a wish of Adnan to go back. The loan wasn't a good deal for both sides all in all," Zorc said.
