Zinedine Zidane has made the best start to a coaching career in Real Madrid history.

The routs against Deportivo (5-0) and Sporting (5-1) have seen the French coach record the best league start by a Real Madrid coach in the club's history.

The ten goals netted by the Whites better the 9 scored by the 1993/94 side in Vicente del Bosque's first two games at the helm.

The teams managed by Juan Armet and Fleitas Solich both hit eight goals in the 1941 and 1959 seasons respectively.

"Scoring five goals twice is not easy. I know what we can do and what we are going to do in the future. We are only at the beginning, I have high hopes for this team," said Zizou.
