Zidane and Real Madrid president Perez at odds over Alexis bid

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is keen on Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Don Balon says Zidane sees Alexis as an alternative to Monaco whizkid Kylian Mbappe, who now favours staying in France - at PSG.

Zidane believes the aggression and drive of Alexis would be an ideal addition to his attack if they cannot convince Mbappe.

However, Real president Florentino Perez is reluctant to move for the Chilean due to his age. At 28, Perez believes Alexis is too old and would rather focus on younger targets.

If he cannot get a deal done for Mbappe, Perez would prefer to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Ousmane Dembele ahead of Alexis.
